Using the IVI-COM Driver Wizard

The first step in creating an IVI-COM driver is running the New IVI-COM Driver Wizard. The wizard is launched from within the Visual Studio IDE, just as native Visual Studio project types.

To launch the New IVI-COM Driver Wizard

1. From within Visual Studio, click on the File menu, select New and then choose Project.

2. The standard Visual Studio New Project Dialog appears.

3. Under Project types, choose Nimbus Projects and then select IVI-COM Driver from the Templates window.

4. The New IVI-COM Driver Wizard appears.

Tip

When filling out the wizard pages, keep in mind that any of the options selected can be changed later using the Driver Settings Editor.
